airbrushing my front underbody kit

so, my front underbody kit is all scratched up and i have paint from paintscratch.com so i purchased a set of double-action airbrush yesterday and wanted to fix it myself. I sanded down all the big scratched by using 3 different grits of sandpaper. from 240 to 1500.

It is however that i could not proceed because i don't have the automotive lacquer thinner to thin my paint (which i have to according to the website)

i will go to my bodyshop to get some free thinner tomorrow and start painting/airbrushing my front underbody.

has anyone done it himself?

maybe i should take pics of before and after

My front is also scratched a bit... My other half drives the car on a daily basis mind you... . I'm thinking about just putting the stock front lip back on after awhile. BTW, I do have Comptech springs on too so the ride is lower than stock.

so.. i am about half way done painting my front spoiler. I got some lacquer thinner today to thin my touchup paint and i have already sprayed 2 coats on. I have to wait over night to make sure everything is dry so I can sand down the imperfections tomorrow. After that, I will need to spray the clear coat.

I painted the whole left side of the front kit and blended the other side a little bit. So far so good, and I am satisfied. Right now my car is running with the stock lip now.

UW TL,

How is the touch up paint from paintscratch.com compared to the touchup paint from the dealer?

man... the cold temp is holding me back big time. it is now about 35-40 degrees in seattle and i tried to airbrush a tiny bit of clearcoat and guess what happened??? the stuff got sprayed out became spider web!!!!! that sucks!!! I probably need to buy a large spray can of clearcoat.. instead of using an airbrush which is a lot finer then the other.

does anyone know if a bodyshop will mix paint for you given a code? or an auto paint store? i want to get a large amount of paint for the future use.
