how fast does a 01' tl have to go for the airbags to deploy...

not sure but if it's like most cars, anywhere over 20 or 25 mph.

thats not true. its not speed but based on a decelerometer, and other variables. you coud be at a dead stop and have it deploy if someone hit you

SRS deployment isn't based on speed. It relies on a g-force meter to measure how suddenly the car stops and or starts moving.
