airbag install help

i couldnt find any diy's for airbag installs on the forum. no solid answers but

1. is it a good idea to do it yourself if i buy the airbags off ebay or somewhere else online for a fraction of the retail price?

2. anyone know whree i can get directions for it.

3. will a shop install airbags that i bring to them?

4. will 99 airbags fit in my 01?

5. what parts do i need to buy and what needs to be reset?

Ask a junkyard- excuse me- automobile recyclers- about the interchange
Have body shop or car rebuilder install them- they are familiar with replacement and you dont want it put in backwards and deploying at the wrong moment

ebay airbags- hmmmm- see above about local places

Most shops dont like used parts- let alone airbags brought in by customer
The cannot warranty its fitness for use and you would have to sign a waiver of liability

Go in person and ask a few shops what to do, they have contacts

Ask Inaccurate- he gutted his gen3 and can tell you about the bags in detail

I am not saying it cant be done- but was concerned the vehicle had been in an accident and who knows exactly what sensors and such to replace.

Body shops and places that rebuild salvage cars and sell them would know
