does it ever need to be changed? at 104k would it be a good idea? when i pulled it out while cleaning my egr port it had carbon deposits and crap on it, i wiped it off but that crap cant be good for the acuracy of the sensor. any thoughts?

 

#10 is the sensor i asume

 

Buy a can of throttle body cleaner 3-5$ and spray in there, and open the throttle plate and spray some more. DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER- delicate items
Amazing amounts of buildup on the sealing surfaces

6 seconds each place is the directions, and wipe any dripping carbon/dirt that runs out.
Car will run bad a few minutes as it processes the cleaner thru
Spray clean the screen and metal wire in that area too
Do the battery disconnect and reconnect trick to reset the ecu for this one

 

yea i cleaned ou tmy entire intake manifold when i did my egr, are there any signs it would be going bad. throw a code .etc?

 

Unless its throwing a code or your car is runnig wrong and you suspect its the bad part there is no need to replace it.
