Air flow problem. Not the cabin air filter

OK so I am experienceing very poor airflow in my 02 tl. I have replaced the cabin filter, but the flow is only very marginally better if at all. I am guessing I have some leaves n stuff jammed up in the system somewhere as there was some leaves in the replaced filters. My question is can someone guide me through the process of finding the blockage? Where do i start looking and where do i go from there?

Thanks again for the help!

if you cant see anything in the cabin filters, you can start with pulling the blower motor. its located under the cabin air box unit. unplug the 2 pin connector and there should (3) 8mm or 7mm screw bolts holding it. pull out blower motor and inspect. you can then take a mirror and inspect a good portion or the housing for anything.
but, i cant say for sure thats gonna be the problem, since i cant diag. with the car not being here.

hope this helps

Are you meaning to test the blower for output? Because if thats the case i can skip that part. With the filter out and the seal off and the car running with the heater turned full blast the output is great. It almost blew me out of the car Im thinking there is some kind of blockage between the blower and the vents?

no i mean, removing the blower motor to inspect for anything in blower fins. with the blower motor out, it gives you a great view to see, if anything is blocking.
at work, we see lots of rodent houses built up in blower motors. i'm not saying you have this.
just giving you some suggestions.

the cabin air filter DIY is filled with pics of crud in the inlet pipe--use shop vac carefully to remove

Is the cabin vent selector working? Dont switch from one setting of flow to another with the fan on 5- thats hard on the doors that operate the system
It is possible for a door to get stuck and not direct air as desired
Check the owner book for a diagram of the vents
Open the rear center console vent all the time- the one for passengers, that keeps moisture from building up in the tube and molding

I've read the cabin air filter DIY and changed that. But just wondering where exactly is the cabin air box in relation. Because there is a clicking sound when I turn the fan up, but I can't seem to find any post that explains how to get at the blower motor.

There was one post where the member showed pictures of the blower motor with a lot of crap, but no instructions on getting the blower motor out.

Thanks.
