If ne one knows how to remove the tar and bugs off my bumber, can you please tell me how(don't tell me use soap, water, and a little elbow grease) and what you use to do it, and how you apply it.

Some stuff that's probably in your garage with your tools....WD-40, removes everything. Or there is the claybar.

Rinse off the bugs as soon as you can...try not to let those buggers stck on for too long 'cause the longer you leave them there the harder it'll be to get them off.

Just try and rinse them off when you get home that night.

After I wash my car and there is still bug residue. I dry off the car. I use the damp towel that I dried the car off with and apply alittle pressure they come right off with alittle rubbing. I dont think this hurts the paint. I have been doing this for years.

I use a couple different things. Either 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover ($10/quart can) or just bug-n-tar remover (Hell, even K-Mart sells that stuff) or you can put a sponge (not an abrasive one) inside of and old pair of panty hose and use the sam esoap and water you use to wash the car. Haven't had a bug beat me at that yet!

OR!! you can just get a nose mask for about $125 to $150 depending on where you get it.

Take gasoline and put it on a rag, and then rub away. Not too much though. I would imagine the WD40 works the same way. I know, these damned bugs piss me off too.

DONT use gas, not only does it eat paint, but it will remove your wax. I use a finger nail to scrap them while i am washing the car and for the hard to get off ones, I just spend 10 minutes or less with Mothers Cleaner wax and it takes the bugs right off.

Just wash/wipe off the WD-40 when you're done, it doesn't hurt the paint, I rarely use it though.

okay guys I live in Bug Country and I just took and hour removing the bugs of the front end and mirrors and top of the windsheild. I use Bug and Tar remover that you can buy at a parts store. $hit works well. There's two kind available, the first is a aresol spray (just spray on let it sit for minute or two then with little elbow grease it come right off). Then there is the can one by Turtle Wax (looks like a polish and apply over affected area allow to sit for a while then put some more on the cloth and once again apply some that little elbow grease) and BOOM its gone.
You will now be able to distinguish between the bug's a$$ and that new chip on your baby.

Have fun...

you didn't know gas eats away paint??? wow...

okay... before you drive the car... I'd suggest you spray some of those cooking oil on it... or if you really want to use quality products, use Zaino... they won't really stick, you can just spray and the bugs will "slide off".

I always use WD-40 to remove road tar and such, has never hurt the paint. For trivia buffs, the name stands for water dispersal agent number forty.

Try some acetone, failing that, the only thing left is a very fine rubbing compound.

Just remember, acetone is the base chemical in nail polish remover.
