aggrr I hate splash guards

Man this totally sucks, was my bday yesterday, looked at my bankroll......was getting myself the W type body kit......went out to look at my car. Realized I gotten splash guards when I got my 99TL 4 yrs ago.....took one off and found bad scratches there, tried buffing and everything to get it off.........no go. So much for the kit......damn it........what do you guys think about the car with just the front?

I have a '99 with splash guards and i want the WW kit. there better not be any god damn scratches under there

In the morning im gunna check that.

How bad are the scratches? can you hide them with some Zaino or 3M scratch remover?

I think its the side skirts that make the WW kit so nice. the front lip is sweeet too, but the skirts are my favorite. Dont settle for less, find a way ehhehe

The mud guards cause the scratches as a known fact. When I found out, I took my mudguards off my TL immediately after I bought it.

Not too sure about what you can do other than touch up paint and maybe sand it down, some 3M stuff and yeah...

Umm never used Zanio but i can try that or the scratch remover. There is a line where the guards used to be and the paint is kinda dull down there.....I washed, scrubbed, used some tar remover, polish, and buffed......still see the line and if you look close you can see little scratches. <SIGH> this sucks.

has anybody else noticed(those with the bodykit)....that if you slightly press down on the rear part of the kit....it left a huge indentation in the bumper? Mine has a deep cut all along hte bumper caused by the rear skirt....

where is the cut? along the curve at the sides? Thats the only part of the kit that actually fits tight to the car. No biggie though unless you are planning to remove the kit and sell it separately from the car when you sell your TL.
