Question Aftermarket Warranty.....?

What aftermarket warranty do you guys have? I am thinking about getting one since my factory warranty expired but the power train is still good up to 100K. I get a lot of phone calls about extending my warranty, but after talking to them and getting more info from them its just the powere train which I still have from acura............

do you have a CPO car purchased frojm the dealer- a late 03? not in `trans extended warranty vin range`
otherwise you have 109 warranty on the trans from acura

With the reliability of these things being pretty low and costing 4 grand to replace out of warranty, its worth a grand to protect yourself if planning to keep the car

Only pricey things to fail are abs controller from lack of fluid change, TB assembly from unknown reason and other smaller dollar items- those are far less than the cost of a warranty
oh- a few nav screens have failed too

Whats the deduct $ and exactly what do they do in a trans failure- immediate acura replacement or have a shop try to rebuild it?

Better yet, read the written contract.

nothing a phone person says counts- only what is in the written signed contract

There is a ziner who works at a warranty company-
maybe he will offer a suggestion or 2 or where to shop

Most of them you REALLY have to read the fine print. Most cover very little and if you have any mods on the car they wont cover any thing.

I signed up for a warranty a few weeks ago with https://www.warrantydirect.com/ .

Of course a week after I sign up my transmission completely dies. You have to wait 3 months before putting in your first claim. I don't know how good they are, but I've read some decent reviews about them and the price seemed right.

Make sure you read the fine print! Many aftermarket warranties cover very little, and with many restrictions and exclusions. Doing a google search and reading about people's experiences with the companies you're considering will be very informative.
Don't buy a C.A.R.S. warranty - they are crap!
