i was wondering, you know how there are aftermarket tail lights for the clear and red ones? well, what about the OEM kit? like, what would the body shop do if you got into an accident? will they HAVE to order from the dealer? but i heard that dealers are running low or out in some cases... how would you get it then?

i'm asking b/c i want the OEM kit, but wouldn't mind if it wasn't OEM. - for a lower price...

Well, I am a service writer at a body shop and usually, body kits are ordered from the original manufurer when they need replacement. Unless it's discontinued by them. Then the owner must locate a kit they like for around the same amount of money their original cost. I also doubt that Honda/Acura is running low on them, probably just a rumor.

they are low, but can order them - just costs big $$$$ so i'm just wondering if anybody makes a OEM replica, which would be cheaper.. just like how there are replicas of our spoiler.

i really doubt it. kits are usually aftermarket to begin with, so there's not a market for aftermarket OEM style body kits. ya know?

just get it through the store on this site...thats what i did...i have a 01' naples gold...i ordered the OEM front lower lip n WW rear from here...then ordered the sides from a local dealer...the reason y i didnt get the sides from here is kuz they didnt have the sides in naples gold...

are you talking about the oem ground effects or the tails?? you have refrence to both?

you can get replica tails with the clear top on them, the groundeffects have been discontinued by honda, so finding them is getting tougher, and no one makes a oem replica of the Ground Effects

He doesn't have them listed on the site, but he can check honda/acura's worldwide inventory and have them shipped to you for a little over $830...

Again, that price includes shipping...

Not trying to step on anyone's toes, but where did we get the info that this kit is discontinued by Honda? I haven't actually checked, but I will call my Honda supplier tomorrow and see what he says. If it is discontinued, it will not be long before somebody starts making the kit aftermarket.

well it is discontinued kuz for my oem sides...they had to get them from the vintage warehouse...keyword being vintage...kinda scary
