Are aftermarket headlights good?

My headlights are very foggy - both with age and condensation. I have tried various ways to solve both problems without much success (headlight restore kits...drilling small hole in lower part of cover).

And now I have one low beam headlight out - probably due to high condensation.

So I am thinking about starting over with new headlights and a new HID kit from DDM Tuning.

New headlights from dealer are super expensive and would prefer aftermarket...but don't want to buy junk that ends up clouding up again in no time. Anyone have success with the aftermarket headlights?

many of us run www.hidextra.com kit with new 2 ballast -ignitors and bulbs,, for only 59 dollars!
direct maker to us pricing
get 35 watt kit- stock value
suggest 5000k bulbs for close to stock color but more blue which picks out lane markings and signs better

ebay has new aftermarket DOT legal housings,,chromed or blacked out or plain

there is already a drain hole in stock unit but ballast is mounted directly under it!
electricity and on going mositure...how can that go bad!
