Aftermarket Fogs

Hey guys, I have a 2000 TL-P and I wanted to put some fog lights on because I don't have stock ones like all your newer tl's do, I was wondering what kind of fog lights work the best for this kind of job and where to hook them in to the fuse box, and all the other stuff I need to know to put on some fogs for myself. Also, has anyone ever tried taking a stock fog light switch from a TL in a junkyard and putting it in one of the capped off places in the dash to the left of the steering wheel? Any input is appreciated!

yea many have used the factory fog light switch. as for fog lights there are many good ones. you may (if you have the money) liik into a set of real hid fog lights. they will match the look of the headlights better and light up the road better. i also like piaa, they make a really nice fog light

driving lights or foglights

i have a 1999 tl and would like to get additional light onto the road for nighttime visibility.

i understand that the foglights cast a wider beam light dispersement and the driving lights(fogs) give a more focused/less wide light beam dispersement.

which is better for night time driving. which is less likely to get someone pulled over for.

thanks

Most high end fog lights like PIAA and CATZ have various beam patterns. I would go with fog lights that cast a wider beam. Most newer fogs put out so much light that you won't need a driving light. Our stock HID headlights shine good down the road.

Driving lights are extremely bright to oncoming drivers and in my experience attract more attention. Go with an HID fog light setup and you won't be disappointed. Do google searches on CATZ fog lights, there are plenty of pictures to show actual beam patterns and before and after shots. PIAA's are tops on my favorite fogs list
