After market amps with stock speaker?
I have an'02 Type S with the 6 disc changer and navigation. What do I need in order to install external amps to the stock speakers? Will a line output converter do the trick? I am installing an Alpine IVA C800, 2- Punch 225.2's, and a sub enclosure with a Kicker L5. I removed these from my Honda Accord before I sold it. I let the component speakers go with the car. One of the amps will be running the sub and one on mids and highs. A 1.5 farad capacitor will be going in as well. Will the navigation still work, but just not have sound? The stock 6 disc unit is a POS. Anyway, thanks for any help. Also, can the navigation be used for video as well. And if so could someone tell me how to set that uo. Thanks again!

nothing besides extra wire. when u remove the stock HU there is a harness that goes right to the speakers take the amp outputs and tie them there. fyi that headunit is more then enough juice for the paper stock speakers. u dont need an amp unless you get after market speakers which i strongly recommend. the rear sub its real easy, just like any other sub.

Use the new hu to power the stock speakers.
