How much did the paint job set you back? Who did you use? My paint is not in that bad of shape but it does have a lot of imperfections.

That's a good price for a complete paint job. Money well spent if all the PM mechanical stuff is up to date and hopefully the tranny is solid. The car certainly appears much better than before !!!

trust when I first got the car I had ALL the PM done first.... and its a 99 so the tranny is pretty solid.. I changed the fluid the week I first got the car... it shifts real smooth and even better after i got all the mounts replaced (engine and tranny).... a new timing belt and water pump too... plus the cleaning off all the gunk in the common areas of our tl's....

Once you get all the gunk out of the engine it is just a matter of running a top quality fuel cleaner once a year to keep it running clean.

Looks like you brought it back from the dead. N1.

Yeah, while oftentimes many owners tend to give up on their 10>15 year old cars......the TL can still offer many more years of service after making sure that the essential PM and detailing has been done.

The big ticket items such as the tranny, T-belt service and paintwork can sometimes cost almost as much as the car's actual wholesale value. So, being discouraged....the cars usually end up getting traded or sold for cheap as is. Their loss, our win !!! Enjoy the ride.

Yeah, the '02>'03 "S" 17" rims and even the TSX rims look great on our TL's.
