aem v2 question

aem v2 question

i just purchased the AEM v2 from my 01 tl-p. does anyone know what the wires that came with it are for? it says its for off-road use only and is not CARB certified but what do they do? please help!

why would u get wires with an intake?, u should have a filter, the pipe, vacuum hoses (i think).

It just extend the sensor wire from the upper manifold to the V2. So it will reads lower temp and gives more fuel. I used to have it on my V2 body but now I move it back to the upper manifold to save some gas...

how much more gas does it use up if you wire it into the v2

don't know, never pay attention to it. the hp gain it not noticeable either

really? my guy at the shop told me at least 10-15 hp with it wired that way

u dont get that much hp from an intake..

I don't think you would even get 10-15hp from intake.

Do a search using "optional power adder", you should find more information. I am not the only one did not feel a noticeable power gain (I don't drive my car that fast though...). It's a vey intall, basically just "extend" IAT sensor wire from the intake manifold to the V2 rubber coupler...
