Post AEM pulley question

Is their any difference between the set made for the 99-2001 TL and the 98-2000 V6 Accord?
Is the power gain noticeable? Just wondering if this should be my next upgrade since they're so cheap.

I am putting in pulley's into my teg, because my friend has practically the same car that i do....and he had a noticable power gain...so, i'll be expecting the same. Pulley's do help, and for their price, they do a great job.

They came out with the AEM pulleys about a month ago for the CL. I am sure they are probably the same for the TL. They work great, had them for about 3 weeks now.

I ordered a pair of AEM pulleys for my car two weeks ago. My store ended up getting me the V6 Accord pulleys. I went and tried to get them installed. Only the larger pulley would fit on my engine. I ended up taking the pulleys back to the store. They then REALIZED that AEM makes a pulley specifically for the CL and the TL. Two weeks and still no pulleys... =(

Actually 40.5" tall

But if you want a kit, look into this: www.kitcarzone.com

They have a turnkey, ready to go for $21k. Thats with the RX7 engine. They claim a weight of 1300lbs with engine and the engine puts out 255HP stock. I plan on getting one kit this summer and putting it together myself. Although it doesnt have the V8 sound, it also doesnt have the V8 weight.

I got the AEM pulleys installed at my local speed shop. I think they were the ones for the 98-up V6 Accord. I see no difference from the TL/CL pulleys and the Accord V6 pulleys fit just perfectly. Car accelerates much harder now. Very satisfied.

That's funny cuz AEM only claims 4 hp to the wheels with all the accessories on (the time when the pulleys can give u the most power) which one can definitely not "feel". When i installed the pulleys I didn't notice anything. Plus, my instrument panel lights dim (not to mention all exterior lights except headlights dim) when I'm idling. Pulleys suck. I wish i didn't buy them now. Are u just saying that it made noticeable power cuz u dont want to admit that u bought something crappy?

Not at all, Rice. My interior/exterior lights don't dim at idle(not noticeably at least), and my 600 watt sound system sounds perfectly fine. No downsides at all. I definately felt stronger acceleration, and my engine revs up quicker than it normally did.

VTEC: I got the pulleys at Hondatech, they also installed them. The pulleys cost me $140, and the install was $60. So $200 total, and well worth the money.

You felt an increase when you put new spark plugs and water wetter in too :P

This is a common thing among people. They feel like they need to justify their purchase.

I never felt any increase with water wetter. What r u smoking Matt? The spark plugs did provide a little better throttle response, not sure about power though. Just wait till u get a car Matt. Then we'll talk. =)
