sup guys, i got a few questions bout the AEM Polished CAI... first of all is there a difference (other than appearance) between the polished CAI and the regular AEM CAI?

Also, how well will it fit into my 2000 TL w/ a bypass valve? I read some stuff about having to cut the pipe in order for the bypass valve to fit.

I'm not sure about the appearance but, Yeah of course you have to cut the pipe. How else are you going to get it in there? Where you cut the pipe and put the BPV, that's all up to you.

 

Actually, I have a 99 TL and the AEM CAI w/bypass valve came pre-cut for me.

 

for 02 the AEM CAI only comes in one piece so you will have to cut but for the 99-01 it is a two piece pipe so you don't have to cut anything....

 

yes, but for the polished one is only a one piece regardless of the year of ur car. thats why im curious about whether or not there is a difference, other than the way it looks, between the polished one and the regular red, blue, or silver...
