AEM Intake install problems ABS, VS, ! lights are on??

My friend who has worked for Acura and has installed many AEM intakes installed one on my Type-s TL and now the VS, ABS, !, lights stay on. The thing is that he hasn't even touched anything that would have those lights stay on. We checked all fuses, etc, connections and they are still on I am going monday to his friend to hook it up to the computer to see what it is but I am curious if anyone else ever had such a problem? Thanks

Check the hoses. There are two of them. If the vacuum seal is broken, then the computer will throw a code.

not true.

Plenty of members on this forum have the CAI and still have the ability to use their fogs.

if they told you that, I suggest going somewhere else to have it installed.

taking out your foglight is a good idea however if you want to get the most out of your intake

it's not worth the extra 1-2 HP maximum. It will totally wreck the front end look of the car. The fog lights, with the HID's and the front grill is what make the TL-S such a sexy car.

Like I said, don't let them remove the fog lights, you can definitely install the CAI without removing the fog lights.

They are talking about the misfitment. When I installed mine, the pipe was too long and the filter was hitting the foglight. So I cut the pipe.

MIKESTL --

I didn't mean that a part would be physically broken. The two hoses attached to the intake pipe are vacuum seal hoses. If these hoses are not hooked up properly, there would be no vacuum seal, and the computer will think that there's a leak. I've read about a few people on the forums running into this problem, and after re-mounting the hoses, the code cleared itself. So make sure that the hoses are hooked up right, and that they are ripped or anything.
