i just installed mine this weekend on my '02 type-s....i didnt remove the bumper...i've heard it makes it easier...i ran into a problem though...i had it all in place and it didnt leave room for the filter...i ended up having to cut the pipe b/c w/o the filter on it the pipe went right up to the back of the fog light...i emailed AEM and they said it was made for models w/o fog lights...kinda strange...but there was no way it was gonna fit other wise....but it works fine......just woundering if anyone else had this problem?....good luck man

I installed my a couple of years back and I don't remember any fit problem. I did cut the pipe but that's because I installed a bypass valve. Otherwise, it went smoothly.
