Aem cai install

Aem cai install

i just got my aem cai and tried to install it i took the old box off and there was a tube runnin in side of it so i opened it up the tube ran inside a flap n i pulled back the flap and it looks like a mini radiator so what do i do just eliminate the whole box or leave the bottom part of the box n put the pipe througt it can some post pics too thanx.....

Do a SEARCH!!! It's been discussed before. Don't be lazy. I will tell you though, that you need to remove the entire factory intake.

Oh and when asking ?'s, make sure you specify which year, it makes a difference.

Yeah, that sometimes happens. But like I said, you need to remove the entire factory intake. There is a hose that runs to the "radiator" in the factory intake. It supplies antifreeze to it and needs to be looped back to the engine. I don't currently have any pics and would take a couple of days before I could get them.

Let me know if you still need them. I know it would've been helpful when I installed mine.

just bypass the whole mini radiator.

only the 99 had this.


take it all out!..

Yea joseph your right on. If you have a 99 it's kind of a pain to install a CAI. The two hoses running into the old box just take the whole box out (only way to do it is to remove the bumper) then take one hose out and run the other into it.

You DO NOT have to remove the front bumper. It is completely unnecessary to do this. I intalled my AEM V2 on my '99 without doing so with no problems.

How did you get the long ass bolt out that holds the resonator in place?

take the driver side wheel off.
unsnap the wheel well liner......
