when you cut the pipe do you take a chunk out?
i mean do you make 2 cuts on each side of template and cut a pipe of the piping out?
or do you cut once and just cut the pipe in two? and then install the bypass valve?
thanks

you want to install it as high as possible.
most probably you will have to cut a chunk out, equivalent to the size of the bypass valve. this way the pipe will still sit in the same location.
look in the gallery for pics of bypass valves installed. that should give you a good idea of the location.

On the Injen I just needed to cut the intake into two pieces, however, some people who have installed the AEM have had to cut an inch or so piece out to have it fit. I'd try just cutting it in half first. If it doesn't fit... then you can trim it.
Check out this link for an awesome installation walk through: http://wizardsworks.org/chod/acura/cai/

If you have the AEM pipe, you will have to cut and remove a section of the pipe so that it would fit under the hood. Not doing so will make the pipe an extra inch or inch and a half longer.
Here's a pic for you...
