Question AEM CAI bypass

Just got my TLS a few days ago and I'm wondering about the AEM CAI. I live in an area (Salinas, CA) that makes the bypass valve kind of a necessity. Anyways, will I have to cut the pipe to get the bypass in? Or does it come included in the new kits, as a 3 piece set (2 pipes, valve)?

i got a regular tl, but i think that the cai is similar. the pipe comes in two peices, then you have to buy the valve to put in between. so no cutting or anything. it doesn't come with the cai though,

Yes you do have to cut the pipe on the Type S as the AEM intake is a one piece for the 2002.

SilverStreak2kTL has a regular TL that has a 2 piece intake were he didn't have to
