AEM CAI for 99TL...
before I get flamed...
I did do a search, and I did find 1 previous discussion on this, but was not clear.
Anyways, I will be installing the CAI tomorrow, and wanted to know what issues you had installing it. I know there is no applications for the 99 TL. Someone posted something about coolant pouring out...and security horn having to be relocated...
any tips for install is always helpful.

yea 99's have a small antifreeze cooler in the stock airbox...first things first...unbolt your airbox...2 bolts take the coolant lines off, watch for A/f pouring out. take off the rubber hose to the motor and lift the airbox out. unhook the rubber hose from throttlebody and 2 lines into the hose. take apart your stock airbox and get the a/f cooler out. its pretty much common sense, a couple bolts here and there. once its out hook it into the coolant lines that went into the box. it doesn't matter which side is which, leave it hanging with clamps on the hoses, you can situate it later. now, unbolt your bumper on the left side and take out with wheel well trim as well as the trim under the left side of the front bumper .2 bolts hold the lower airbox on, on bolt twards the wheel and one twards the headlight, the one tward the headlight is a bear to find and get out. the box will drop out from under the car once the bolts are out. i had to pull my bumper off on the left side to get to the bolt. now that all that mess is out, put the cai in. i bolted mine in under the horn bracket using the stock bolts from the horn mount, had to bend the horn mount up to get my cai bracket under it but the horn is still in stock location. and the other bracket on the intake should mount in the lower bolt hole which held your stock airbox. the cai should go in nicely. dont forget to remount your a/f cooler. re bolt on the bumper and trim and your done. if i missed anything or have any problems let me know.

does anyone have pics of the install, especially of where the coolant hoses go cause i am about to do this with my injen 2 piece intake and am sort of confused with the whole procedure of which hoses go where thanks

one bolt on the left side frees the bumper loose, and makes the installation ALOT easier. its not some big task, my ratchet wouldn't get the bolt in the front without taking the bumper loose. but providing a different tool you prolly could do it w/o pulling the bumper back.

Here are a couple of pics, I hope they load ok, I'm new to this. Sorry about the picture quality, taken with my phone. The second is from the front and the first is from the back.
