Question Aegean Blue or Satin Silver

I'm about to purchase a TLS. I've narrowed my color selection to the Aegean Blue Pearl or the Satin Silver Metallic. From some of the comments on problems of the Pearl White and Aegean Blue, I'm leaning towards Silver. Comments, suggestions, negative or positive about these two colors will help me.
Thanks

If you don't mind weekly washes/waxes, then ABP is probably the better looking of the two. I wanted to be lazy after my last car (which was similar to ABP) so I got Silver. It's not the best, but it definitely ain't the worse. Solid. Like a rock, baby.

Thumbs up

If I have to do it over again, I will get the Agean Blue. It looks so nice and it is not as common as the silver where most ppl have.

Aegean Blue Looks very nice. It has a refined, yet sleek and graceful look to it. Silver, is silver . If you like both colors the same, think of this. Do you like washing your car? If not, do you mind doing it once a week? If you don't mind washing your current car too much, you'll enjoy washing this one, cause its a really nice car . I've washed mine twice this week already, and waxed once. But im crazy .

I have a ABP, like my2sense said if you don't mind the weekly wash/wax its great. Another thing is if you don't mind people constantly looking and complementing the ride. Haven't seen 1 ABP, where i have seen many many SS.

P.S. Better pics tomarrow, when my wood gauge and ac vent go on.

the ABP certainly have looks...but it's a pain in the butt to keep it spotless. I enjoy my SSM alot (very simple yet elegant), I handwash my car every other week...a little exercise for my lazy ass.

Talking

If I had waited 4 more months to get a TL-S, I would have definitely gotten the BLue...too many silvers out there...

i had the ssm accord before the abp tl-s but i agree with basically everything that has been said. ssm keeps longer than abp after a wash. but the abp color is super nice and there seems to be less on the road than the other colors. i like how abp is kinda chameleon-ish too. i have had my car since 5/16 and i have only seen like 2 abp cars in the last 4 months...while i have seen numerous blacks, whites and silvers. green is kinda rare too.

however it came down to this one point...abp is particular to only the type s car. silver can be had on both models. i guess it's if you wanted to stand out within a crowd or not.

After 1.5 months, ! I am delighted with my choice of ABP . The color is not that difficult to keep looking good (compared to my two previous black cars), and I enjoy watching people check it out in the parking lot at work!

(kimeh - the WDP is nice, but people say the color looks different on the plastic than the metal.)

Get blue bro

I may be biased seeing how I have a blue CR-V, blue Yammie R6, and a ABP Tl-S.

Anyways the TL-S blue has a slight hint of purple in it that when the car is clean and you see from an angle its simply gorgeous.
But yeah you do have clean it much more often.

I love my ABP TL-S......Like the others said, it turns heads all the time and I'm always getting compliments on it. The first comments is either what color is that? or what kind of exhaust to do have? I love it, even a couple of cops have stop me to ask what kind of care it is, since the whole rear is debaged. ABP all the way...

If you lived in my neck of the woods Id say get the SSM, too many ABP's on my block. My neighbor just bought one a month ago . At least his is stock with no options. But since you live in Cali, Id say get ABP. I get complimenst all the time from little kids to grandmas at car shows, on the road at gas stations, anywhere.

If you are looking for something sedate this color is not for you, and you should get the SSm. As far as paint problems goes, my friends SSM TL- S had defects on the door, under the trunk, etc. Mine was virtually flawless although I noticed what looks like a speck of dust under the paint of the fender and in another spot on the trunk, but thats it.

See the pics and decide for yourself. These pics are all old though from April or May. Finally took delivery in March after an agonizing 2 month wait with the only option being the Navi. Since then everything has come from Tim on this site. Shes now dropped debadged Tl-S in the rear and a bunch of other goodies all over.

My car is silver and if I had to do it again I'd buy the blue. Silver is great and easy to keep clean but there are many silver cars out there.

forgot to mention that another upside to silver is that the interior of the car stays cooler during the summer and the black interior is easy to maintain. tradeoffs....

Cool

I have had NO paint problems with my WDP. The car is filthy right now, but you can't tell unless you get up close.

I would get the ABP. It's a really nice color and stands out a lot (when clean) . My SSM is nice (clean and dirty), but definitely doesn't get as much attention as MrHyde's. I feel that my SSM is a boring color. You can't go wrong w/those colors. Good luck on your decision!

I was contemplating the same two colors myself before I got the ABP...what put me over the edge was seeing it in the sunlight, cloudy weather & at night under a street lamp. It changes colors in all three circumstances...in cloudy weather it's a deep blue like the Lexus Blue, in sunlight it's a bright blue metalic and under the street lamps it's got a purple haze to it. I checked it out on the dealer's lot all three times next to a SSM...totally fell in love with it.

Blue is cool and trendy right now, but personally, I'd get sick of it after a while, and I've had so many dark colored cars already. Silver looks great even when its dirty. Silver shows the lines of the car better than any other color.

There have been lots of faddish colors that have come and gone over the last several years. But silver will always look great.

Something tells me you may give in to the temptation to get the more noticable color (blue), but that initial thrill will wear off, and people will stop looking at your car after a while.

Get what you really think will make you happy over the long haul. Don't make an impulsive decision.

The decision is simple...if you want to be flashy, get the ABP, if you want to be classy, get the SSM.

SSM COLOR

i don't think the silver is classy. i think too many people have that color. i mean everybody gets silver. don't get me wrong or anything, i like silver and it looks nice, but i just don't want to get a color that everybody has...you know?

I would have to say........

Blue would be the most eye catching of the two. I almost bought the blue, but leaned toward black because I love the blueish tint my black gives off.

I have had a WDP for 3 weeks now without one complaint about anything. I would go with the Blue if it were narrowed down to those two choices but obviously prefer the WDP w/parchment. Cant stand the ebony marble interior.....

The ABP is nice looking, but I can't handle dark cars anymore, and I like silver, so I got SSM on my TL-S....and I have seen no silver TL-S in my part of town since I got my car!

I have SSM TLS w/ Navi myself. IMHO, blue is the most attractive
color among all the TLS color. But I prefer
light exterior color and black interior, easier to maintain.
