while watching the Chicago auto show on TV last nighty while waiting for the TL to come up (it didnt even though I swear I saw it in the previews) I noticed that there are several cars coming out now with colors evry similar to the Aegean blue on the new passat wagon, the mercedes SLK ,and there were at least two other cars on the show with a similar color.

Are us future Aegean Blue Type-S owners part of a new fad thats going to make us sick after a short while?

i think so....
the color looks nice and all, but in the long run, if you ever wanted to sell the car/trade it, i think it'll be harder to sell or you would get a lesser value in return. that's why i stuck to silver , cuz it's more of a "stable" color, and easier to sell later on.

Silver and Black are the money colors these days.

 

Silver is nice, but you get stuck with the icky-colored wood trim. If I get one, it'll definitely be parchment.
By the way - I figured all cars $30k and under had fake wood for trim (like the TL). It's not until you get close to $40, do you start seeing real wood.
HOWEVER- I just drove a leftover 2001 Passat GLX 4Motion Wagon, and the dealer told me the wood trim was REAL. Hmmm.......

 

A lot of carmarkers are starting to make interesting blues. The IS300/GS blue, Audi Santorin Blue Pearl. Fad or not... Aegean Blue is VERY striking and that's the color TL-S I'm shooting for.

I'm just wondering when ppl want this special blue is because when you drive it out on the road ppl will know it'll be a Type-S, just like the blue on the Civic Si's? I know some ppl bought the blue Si just b/c ppl can tell right away it is a Si... I ordered a silver one... Y'all want pics of TL-S? I have pics from the Houston Autoshow back in Janurary, it's an Aegean blue if anyone wanna see it... but a friend told me the local dealer has a black Si running on the road for test drive or something last nite, I will take my digital camera and snap some more shots if there's one there.

 

ok.... I'm too excited for the Type-S now... I meant there's a black "TL-S" on the roads around the dealer's lot... =P
And my friend said he was in a BMW 328 and trying to catch up with the TL-S but just couldn't do!
