Advice On Stalling Issue

For about the last month I have had an issue that every once in a while when I come to a stop my car will almost or will stall. Never when I am driving always when coming to a stop. I know a lot of people are going to say clean the EGR valve and IM, and I have read a lot of those threads. Here is the thing it never throws out an error code. When I start it back up no warning lights are on or anything. The dealer hooked it up to their computer and drove it and everything comes back ok, but I still have the problem, so they think it has something to do with the fuel system so they told me to run a fuel system cleaner through it. Done that, still have the problem. Is ths an EGR/IM issue or coluld it be a fuel filter or another problem. Thanks

i stuck egr could cause that issue, but it would likely throw a code. there could be a bunch of different sensors that would cause it idle air comes to mind. the dealer saying throw some injector cleaner in it would throw a red flag up to me and i would find a different dealer

The only problem is like you I am in Wisconsin and other than the dealership I go to the only other one is in madison I believe. The only lights that go on on the dash when it does stall as far as the warning lights are the battery and the oil light. When I start it back up everything is back to normal. When I had first taken it in they thought it had to do something with the "idler program" in the PCM so they reprogrammed it. The problem is that their techs couldn't reproduce the issue.

Have you replaced the fuel filter? You might also have a sediment buildup in your tank which would cause the fuel pump to choke.

No I haven't replaced the fuel filter yet, but with 60000 miles, I guess it should be about time. This is just an in line filter back by the gas tank, right?
