Hi, I just bought a 99 TL yesterday, and today when my friend tried to move the passenger seat back, it wouldn't work. The tilt works, but the back and forth doesn't. You can move the switch and nothing happens, no grinding noise, I suspect something electrical. Have anybody else had this problem, It was working three days ago, when I was riding shotgun in the test drive. This really pisses me off. Also I scraped one of my wheels too within the first ten minutes of ownership.

Isn't there a possibility that there is something like a coin on the rails of the passenger seat?
I have this experience when I had Ascot Innova ( Japanese model made by HONDA using chassis of international Accord).
At the time I have visited my dealer and a mechanic gave me a 100 yen coin telling me that it was on the rail of the seat and disturbed the seat to move.

Hope you don't have a serious electrical problem.

 

no coin, same thing happened to my car. I got it warranteed when I was getting a regular service. Park Ave.

 

hey man . . . i have the same exact problem as yours but mines is total opposite . .. i can move my seat back and forth but the tilts on the back of the seats and tilting the back up and down wont work . . . i would appreciate any help. thanx in advance
