Thumbs up Acura TLC Service is alrite with me

Hit a monster New York City pothole, blew out my left front passenger tire, had to pull over and change to the spare. Got my baby on the jack but couldn't get those damn lug nuts off. Tried using that damn cheap tool that comes with the car to get the lug nuts off and just couldn't seem to get them off and no one was around at 2 in the morning, so i called the 800 number and they were helpful and get a towtruck out to me with an airgun to get the lug nuts off. However, Acura only covers $100, so if it cost more than 100 beans, then I would have to pay it out of my own pocket. That's what I have to say, TTFN, ta ta for now.

i know how you feel cuz i live in NYC too! and i blew my left rear tire 2 weeks ago on the belt parkway going into Long Island! it was not a pretty sight, because it was pouring like hell for a couple days straight!, cost my around $60 for tow truck because acura saids they are not authorized to go in the belt parkway highway, but they will reimburse me for that, and i paid $174 for the new tire. Acura saids it is not cover under warranty, they only cover for defects in the tire. I mean how the hell are you suppose to prove that it was a defect in the tire when it is all cut up by the rim? yeah, i was stupid, it blew and i didn't know what the hell it was that made the loud noise, i thought it was the engine. I thought it was raining hard that day so i went up to 70mph and still same noise, until some a lexus gs300 dude i think passed by and pointed his finger to my rear wheel, then i pulled to the right lane of the highway. Thank gawd the rims are ok, aehaehaehaeh, I had 3 cars in the past, but never ever a flat tire, especially within a month of getting the new car! It was only 28 days!

omg - and my tire blew in the first week (pothole) but we changed the tire before TLC got there -

most cities have a reimbursement for damage done by potholes - check the city solicitor's office - i just submitted my bill - we shall see.....

i tell you it has made me paranoid about driving - every time i see a flaw in the road i worry

and with 1/2 of the people driving SUVs with big-ass tires that can drive through a rockpile, i bet the towns are getting fewer complaints about the state of their roads and aren't fixing them

all these brand new tires going flat kinda makes me think though (can you say Explorer?)
