Acura extended warrantee questions

My 2000 TL has 31,000 mi. since new (7/00) and the warrantee
expires in July.

Which source/dealer has the best price for
the Acura 7 yr/100,00 extended warrantee?
(I do not want a non Acura after market seller)

When would be the best time to purchase?
Does it matter what state one resides in?

I know the warrantee is transferable to a private party if I decide to sell later and would help the selling price but -

If I decide to do a trade in w/ a dealer later for an "04" or "05"
model - would this transfer to the new owner as well?

Thanks

RonM.

Exclamation acura care

get the acura ext warrantee. there is no 7 yr, 100,000. that's for the tranny. when the original warranty is up you get a 3yr/75,000 mile ext. my 99 cost $1,280 w/ $50.00 deductible. that's a fixed price i believe through acura corporation. get w/ the dealer!

no, I have the 7yr/100k mile extended bumper to bumper warr from acura. It includes the customer assistance program also. I nagotiated the warr + a check for 500 after my second tranny went. the dealer noted the price of the warr as 1500.00.
I'd personally say keep your $ and hope she dosnt break down, w/ only 34k miles that thing is just barly broke-in

I did some looking around and found this:

http://acuraofmissionviejo.com/acura-care-quote.asp

I would like to do better if I can though.

Being that my car is an "00", 3 1/2 yrs old w/ only 31,000 miles -
I was quoted $985.00 for 7 yr. & 75,000 mi. extended warrantee
through the above dealer. (around $1200 w/100,00 I believe)

There are still a number of extremely spendy things that can go wrong besides the tranny that can happen after the 4/50,000 is over.

Still wondering about my other concerns re: purchase timing,
out of state issues, and, trade in value with and without the extended warrantee, etc.
