Acura 2000 TL mods! What brands?

After extensive research I have come to a final conclusion that I will be modding out my 2000Tl.
The car currently sits on 53.5K mileage. STOCK
I'm looking to trick out my beloved car and also give it some power.

Here are my list of mods I would like to make for performance:

Exhaust system, can someone please explain the different types and which one you currently run/recommen and what they do? Catback, axle back etc. I'm still unsure of what they really are.

Headers- looking at DC headers. Is installation easy? Or do I need to take my car to a shop? I've never worked on cars before

CAI- I've decided to go with CAI over short ram simply because of my research. I'm lookin to self install injen CAI system.

SUPERCHARGER! Yeah right.. I could barely afford this. Is it worth all the money?

COSMETIC MODS:

I need a new paint job. Can't decide whether to
Go white or black again. My car is currently black but has minor oxidation and scratches all over.

A drop. Looking to install Meagan coils

Rims. Searching for monarch 410's. can't find!

Any other mods you guys would recommend? Of any info in general? I've read all the DIY threads.

Thanks acurazine! I know I annoy the world with the post spams but I appreciate everything as always )

For the CAI, get the AEM v2.

It's the best CAI for the non Type S cars.

Headers, go with DC.

I would hold off on the exhaust for now. It doesn't have very big gains, and it's one of the more expensive mods.

Your best bet and usually more cost effective is to stick with the original color.
***Do all of your mechanical stuff first. Have we told ya this before ???
Paint work is all about detailed preparation and can be rather expensive for a quality finished job.

+1 for ATLP. Sounds so good a lot of days I turn off my radio and listen to my exhaust.

unless you plan on driving your car into water couple feet deep that will submerge your whole filter.. you'll be fine with a cold air intake.

Or just buy a bypass valve if it really bothers you.

I've had my Comptech Icebox for 7 years with no problems, and I live in Oregon!
