Acura = Lexus!
went out with this girl this afternoon to get some stuff to drink and as I was driving out of the parking lot I scrapped my license plate frame a little bit (cuz it's lower than my front lip). Then I go, "man, I didn't even drop it that low!" Then she goes, "what?!?! you dropped the TL? That's like dropping a Lexus!!!"
she knows her car stuff so I took her word for it.

i dont think lexus is any better than acura. but when acura owners have to give examples of why, it means they are struggling to put their car on the same level as lexus, which is not necessary. im not trying to flame at all, dont get me wrong. btw, i think my acura is better than any lexus avail, except for the IS300

those type of door handles
plus, thats is nowhere near the shape of a civic. its like someone telling you your car looks like an accord. but that again, what you are saying would dictate your own kind, because civics and acuras DO imitate Altezza and IS300 tail lights.

Just curious, how did you move your license plate to the bottom of the bumper? Mine came with a dorky black plastic holder than straps to the front of the bumper. I'd much prefer to move it to the bottom.

I'm also curious. How easy/difficult to move the front plate down? I definely like the look.
How did you plug, if any, existing mounting holes? I have a factory front skirt, would the plate extend below it?

Things I like about the IS300:
Good build quality
RWD (excellent handling in the dry)
Compact and light (handles like a go-kart)
Things I dislike:
Taillights (IMHO, Lexus should not have put that junk into an otherwise good design. Yuck!!!)
Boy racer, cheap looking interior (When you go after the 3-series, why not adopt the philosophy of the 3-series in totality ?)
Miserable mileage (2 friends of mine average less than 20mpg, which is disgraceful for a sub-compact).
Hopefully, knowing Lexus, the next version should have a better full-leather interior along with other badly needed interior improvements....auto-dimming mirrors certainly wouldn't hurt, an arm-rest in the center would certainly help....others may not agree, but I would certainly want to have a Navigation system in the car (after driving a car with the NAV system, I will not purchase another car without one).

Hey IS, I like your Altezza. My only gripe is the shiftknob and tach. Though the tach is like new and innovative, I still don't like it. Tail lights were cool until every civic and prelude from here to Yemen got them. I guess I always did like Toyotas. The Toyota Chaser is my favorite.
