So I have been using this forum for awhile and decided to join in since I still have my baby 02 Acura TL. Anyway the other day I was driving on a busy highway here in Texas and felt a pop on the gas pedal. At that moment I lost all acceleration. I have seen post saying that it's the sensor when you have play but not in all cases! As I took a look after getting to the shoulder the accelerator cabel was off and torn about 12 to 16 inches.
The pass few months I have been wondering why I get a jerk sometimes when pressing the gas pedal and I knew it wasn't the tranny because if I let off the pedal and press it again it would stop. Also if I press it fast it would hesitate. I hope this helps someone. I will repost once she's all fixed up on performance. I will tell you I have over 250k miles.
Any tips on repair would be appreciated.
