AC squeals for a few seconds on start-up

Burning Brakes
Do you mean that every time the compressor kicks on you hear the squeal?
It could mean that the compressor clutch plates are shot OR your belt is old and not supple anymore OR your belt tensioner is bad.
You should hear a click every time the compressor clutch energizes.

If its clicks that are constant- check the AC BELT `tensioner pulley`- look down- its that thing you can barely see and must have small hands to get in and replace
Mine went at 80k miles- 85$ part 1.5 hours labor per the book
Made noise for a loooooong time before it got loud loud and was replaced.
Now the engine bay only sounds like engine!

Thanks! right on point, bad tensioner and belts were replaced. $322 on the price tag... i suggest to others go to the honda dealer ship instead of acura dealer. Acura wanted to charge $500
