AC Micron Filter Replacement
I am coming up to 30K on my 03 TL-S. The service calls for replacing the pair of AC micron filters. Anyone know the part number and a good place to get them at a reasonable price? Thanks

easy as pie to replace. Get the purolator (or similar) from auto parts store. Specify your vehicle model or look up the part in the service manual. Do a search on replacement proceedure, and may you breath fresh air happily ever after.

You really dont ever have to change your filter unless you live on a farm where it is always dusty or you notice a lowering in the output of your AC.
General rule of thumb, that service manual is geared toward getting you into the shop and overcharging you for mostly unneccessary work. Some of the work is needed, but even this you can usually do by yourself.

A dirty AC filter results in decreased air flow which causes the fan motor to run hotter. I recommend a maximum of 30K miles AC filter replacement. I also recommend that the AC filter compartment be vacuumed out as part of the replacement.

Thanks SilverBeam. While the chatter is nice, you are the only one who answered my original question.
Q. Anyone know the part number and a good place to get them at a reasonable price?
A. Pep Boys carries the Purolator C15390 for only $20 for the pair.

Damn that sucks, I thought I read on here that it was easy to change them out? Just behind the glove box.

As part of the 30K mile service, I replaced my AC micron filters on my 03 TL-S. The Purolator C15390 filters (PepBoys - $21.95 the pair plus tax) are indeed a direct replacement for the "Acura" ones. Mine were fairly dirty with just mostly CA freeway driving.
As mentioned by others, the replacement is fairly straight forward. Detach the glove box (section 20 page 66 in the Helm manual) and then clip off shield (which is flipped and screwed in after the first filter change), slide out the two filter holders, swap out the filters and then put everything back together (section 21 page 64).
It took about 30 minutes.
Thanks for everyones input.
