AC Issue

As the title states, I'm having a problem with my AC.
When I start my car, I can hear the fans engage as if its turning on like it normally does. About 10 seconds later, both fans turn-off and then nothing blows.
I've already got the glove box area disasembled so I could inspect everything, didn't see any burnt wires or things of that nature, but im not really sure what im looking for.

Any ideas as to what this could be?
Please help Floridas too damn hot to be w/o air!

Ok you say both fans, are you talking about the ones under the hood? They have nothing to do with the fan in the car. Does the fan in the car blow air on vent or any other setting?

Oh, I thought they had something to do with a/c.

No, I get nothing no matter which setting I try.

see the DIY section on cabin air filter replacement- thats the full diy to get right where you need to work- its easy

The radiator fans- 1 does come on with the ac, but is not part of the cabin blower system, its for radiator cooling

I've already accessed the area that I need to work in, but I'm not sure where the resistor is.?

Is it behind the blower?

Wow, I don't know, man. Wonder if he was being a bit vague and that is his way of saying you need a blower motor?

I think he means the power transistor. This part is on the right side of the blower unit and appears to be held on by two screws. It says the control motor, power transistor, and blower motor can all be accessed without removing the blower unit.

Proud to say my AC is working again, I decided to forgoe the $100.00 in labor and do it myself and I must say it was quite easy. Literally took me 4 minutes to swap-out the part(a lil longer to put the dash back together).

The part is located behind the blower motor, its held-in by two screws and it was very easy to locate once I knew what the part looked like.

So what is the name of that bad part anyway? Since I cant imagine without pictures, is it kind of motor relay switch? And how much is it cost?

I believe its called "blower motor transistor or resistor". Its an aprrox. 3" x 4" metal plate with a white plastic top (T-Shaped) into which there is a "female" connection.
Dont have the part # in front of me, it cost $60.00+/-.
