Hey all,

I plan on painting my Y pipe for obvious reasons....Im going to paint it black with the high heat stuff.

My question is, can I paint my mufflers also? The "paint" or whatever is on them now to make them black is chipping in places and it realy looks like crap!!! Can I just paint the y pipe and the mufflers also the same color? I think I can, but I've heard that you shouldnt paint some places under there....thanks!

 

Just make sure it's Hi-Temp paint..and don't color your b-pipe.

 

B Pipe vs. Y Pipe?

Im talking about the part that goes horizontal when you look at the ride from behind in between the mufflers....

 

Yes, I know what the Y-pipe looks like..I was just stating to make sure you don't color pass the bolt that connects the B-Pipe.

 

alright, thanks....Ill paint the y pipe...and watch out for the bolts and hit the mufflers also.

 

Also, when painting..make sure you put about 2-3 layers on. You'll see what I mean after you put only 1 coat on.
