Question ? about dropping the '03 TL

I have the tein suspense kit for my '03 TL. I got a hook-up at the dealership and one of the mechanics put it on. He dropped an 1.5" in the front and 1.25" in the back. Well the back still was rubbing (oh yeah i have on some 19' giovanni ). My bf took it to an autobody so they can bend my backs fenders. During the process of bending the fenders, they chipped the paint on the bottom half on a side of the fenders. (I had to fix the 2 chips w/ touch-up paint) Beccause of this, they stoppded folding my fenders and didn't charge my bf the $75 it would've costed him for the wk. They said this a normal occurence because their stretching the paint and in order to fold my fender they would have to melt some metal and repaint the fenders?

My is this sh*t true? Is paint chipping normal when folding the fenders and was it that difficult to fold ur fenders? What was the process. Do anyone know of a shop in the DC area that fold my fenders and do a good job?

wow...you rubbed on 19 giovanni's with the teins? wuts the offset on your rims? I had my tein's dropped 2.5 front and 2 inches rear with 19 x 8 Lowenhart BR5's no rubbing at all...i'm guessing your offset wasn't high enuff...as for rolling your fenders...i dont believe its normal for the paint to chip...i think the shop didn't do a very good job...u shouldn't even have to bring it to a shop...its actually very simple, me and my buddies did my old white TL with a baseball bat and it took less den 5 minutes, it came out really good, no paint chips or anything, and it stopped the rubbing with my old 18's keep in mind i only had H and R springs at the time....but paint chips is not normal, unless the shop wasn't very careful wit wut they're doing...u can do it yourself and maybe adjust the dampening level of your teins too...i have mine on very stiff...
