About to buy a TL, need some advice

Hi all. I can get a 03 TL for $28k otd, a 03 TL-S $30k otd, or should I wait for the 2004's to come out? Is it worth the extra money? Is the TL-S worth $2k more than the TL? Thanks.

If you can afford the 04" and you like it better than of course wait for the 04. If you like the 03" they get all the bang for the buck the TL-S won't disappoint you. If your into to horsepower, $2k is worth the 260hp!

Right now you should be able to get the 03 TL-S w/navi for $30k or less OTD. Acura is giving a $1,500 manuf. to dealer incentive to move the 03 TL’s and TL-S’s. Since the dealers need to make room for the 04’s, they are willing to cut profits to make the sale. The 04’s are nice if you like the look, but it’s the first year of the car, so they will probably sell at a premium and you have the new car bugs to work out. The 03’s are definitely the best buy going for the money right now.

If I could get a TL-S w/ navi for less than $30k, then I would definately go for it. However, I haven't been able to find anywhere that would quote me even close to that. Is this just because I live in L.A.? Do you think I can get a better deal if I wait for another month until the '04s are on the lots? Sorry for all the newbie questions and THANKS for the advice.

Um, I paid $30,600 OTD in late '01 for the "S" (and yes it is worth it). With $1,500 incentives, you ought to get a better deal...

Down here in SD most dealers have lines of 03 TLs. Just about all the TL-S i've seen list at 27,440. Add 2k for a Nav you'd have your car under 30k. Bear in mind that invoice for the TL-S w/out nav is around 27k, you can argue for a price of 25.5k on the TL-S, the dealer will get reimbursed for the rebate by the manufacturer so they are still getting invoice price for the car, and making money off the holdback.

I just bought an '03 TL-S in South NJ for $26,900 which is almost dealer cost after the $1500 marketing support. That's $5000 off of the MSRP, and well into the dealers holdback. I don't know where Nachoman is getting his numbers. Invoice is $29,053 for the Type-S. You will not find a new TL-S for much less than $27,000. I wouldn't wait too long. My dealer has zero new TL-S, and only a few demos left.

yah i screwed up, i meant to be referring to the TL, not the TL-S. You should be able to get a TL for 25.5k and the TL-S for 27.5k. If you got the TL-S for 26.9k then you got a great deal.
