About to attempt 06-07 V6 transmission swap

Hello, my 2g started slipping last week and i'm currently at 120xxx miles. I am about to purchase a 06 accord transmission but there is slight damage to it, It is a bracket mount, the shop said it will be cast aluminum welded and professionally fixed. I have included a picture of the part. Can anyone confirm if this will be OK once fixed? The bracket is not included and I am worried that the TL one will not fit/does not have one?

will take all advice, thank you

Sorry here are the pictures. I have included one showing no damage with the bracket I am worried about not having and a set of pictures with the damaged area.

I wonder what is that for??
But to answer I don't think that will be an issue since that isn't a support mount for the trans.. At least not a heavy one like the lower trans mount.

I am not sure myself to be honest. I have asked the dismantler's and they will get back to me tomorrow with what that part is for. Do you think paying 750 w/ delivery is too much?

HOLY CRAP!
Are you saying that the Accord V6 06-07 trans cost you 750 w/shipping?? If that is so then you got the bargain of the century..

Mine was 900 bucks and I felt so happy about it! They go around +1300 most of the times.

Yes that is what I meant, the delivery fee is cost me around 45 bucks for the gas for a 1 hr drive w/ traffic. The dismanlter does not know what the part is used for exactly....Well I think I will pick it up then. Do you think it is OK for me to use the 3rd+4th pressure switch from the accord transmission instead of the TL? there are 50xxx miles on the accord compared to 120 on the TL.

I would not do so unless they were exactly the same part. No...

Don't worry too much pressure switches can only get dirty and in weird very rare cases fail.. Just clean them up nicely and I think they will give you a lot more miles from them. Mine are still rocking after 1 rebuild and almost 200K.. Never cleaned them manually until the rebuild shop did so.

Great, Thanks for the input. I double checked on the pressure switches and they are not the same part numbers. I will take your advice and clean the TL ones once the transmissions out.

That bracket is not used on the TL and nothing will end up going into that threaded hole.

Thats for the upper transmission mount for that generation accord and 3G TL, our cars don't use that part and it looks like it would hit the battery tray I would just install the tranny the way it is no harm. Hope it helps ya good luck

I would like to report back that the swap was successful, the shop did not need any information from me regarding the swap and did everything themselves. they replaced all the gaskets and the filter for me. car is driving great with a 50k transmission.

I have a set of OEM gaskets for sale if anyone is going to attempt this swap,

The Shop is located in SAN JOSE if anyone is INTERESTED

How was your luck with this swap? because i am in the market for a new transmission, and people told me i could swap with the 06 Automatic Transmission, 3.0, AUTO, FLR, FWD; Coupe (2 DR), 3.0L (6 CYL). is this true? or did it require some modifications?
