A6 2.7 T vs TL-S

Well its that time again and I am able to make the trasition to a new whip. I was trying to get a 2000 Tl w/navi for around 27k with my trade I almost did it but someone slammed into me so I wasnt able too. Now I can afford a 02 - 03 TL or a Audi A6 2.7 T or the 2.8 both are very hot cars and nothing can really touch either for the money. I think they both are pretty quick what do you guys think? Im curently still driving the 97 Diamante minus the stickers.http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group...c=gr%26.view=t

Get the Audi Quattro Turbo.

It's worth the extra money.

Acura can't touch it.

I think I agree with you all but the main thing is a extra 4 to 5 grand for the 2.7 vice the Ac and the 2.8 down side is there arent too many mods for the Audi.

What kind of mod are you looking for? There's tons of performance stuff for Audi's.

Really i see alot for the A4 and the TT but only smoked tails for the A6, Im looking for you know the intake exaust the line of things. Im going to put the rims off my curent car on which ever one I end up getting either way so I dont have to worry about that. Also engine parts like headers and or cams. The other down side is the Audi's stereo is shaped funny as hell and I have a Alpine multi media system and I dont think it will fit due to its not a double din?

The 2.7T is the same engine as the S4 and they make a lot of performance stuff for the S4. You can take a look at APR, they have performance chips. I don't know anything about stereos, so I can't give you any input, but you can check Crutchfield.

Basically, German cars are totally different from Japanese cars. The best thing to do is check out some Audi forums and ask them the pros and cons.

True so True about german and japanese cars but the TL is just soooooooo sweet. The determing factor when its all said and done is price. So which ever is more economical is the one i will get!!! Even if its a 99 - 03 for either TL or the A6 im not going to brake my self to drive only on payday.

The Audi looks better. Side by side comparing shows out the TL really age especially the tail. Plus, with some huge rims, the A6 is just perfect, like the 4.2 A6, hot hot hot.

Go with A6 2.7T.... 2.7T and 4.2 are the only models you should even consider.... like many stated, 2.7T shares the same engine/tranny as S4, and mods for S4 would work on A6 2.7T as well.....

Compare A6 to TLS is really like Appl to Orange.... they are in different league, and since $$ is not an issue, A6 2.7T all the way....

RS6 has Twin-Turbo V8.... it's not the same engine as S4(current one... upcoming S4 should have the same engine though)..... besides, RS6 has 450HP, not 380... hehe... :p And costs some where close to 100K...

The A6 2.7T has lots of problems. Check out Consumer Reports guides, etc.
