what the heck?? how hard are you slamming the accelerator? as soon as im off the brake i just slide onto the gas and just cruise. my 99 TL just shifts like any other car.. around 2500-3000RPMS. and that's sorta fast acceleration. cant you just control it? just let off the gas once you get around 3000rpms and it'll just go onto the next gear by itself

I'll have to partially disagree... If the car is cold and you drive semi-arrggessivly it will take a bit to shift, once the fluid warms up the car shifts like a regular automatic. I've never had the car rev up to then redline before shifting but I constantly notice a late shift while the trannie fluid is cold.

Just the other day I spilled coffee on my self at 5:00am in my car, boy was I pissed off, I shifted to first (I was at a stop) and took off, the car didn't want to change into second, eventually it did (at high rpms) then if didn't want to change out of second into third (again high rpms).. I though the coffee spilled on the center console as well and was possibly shorting out the sport shift.

Long story short I popped it back into auto and drove for a block or two casually, once the fluids warmed up the car shifted perfectly again.. I was so worried, I though I was going to see the dash light up like so many other horror stories I've heard on this site.

isnt that why you warm up your car? i usually sit in my car for 2 minutes before i start driving.. its just enough to get all your fluids warmed. i noticed higher shifts but not up to redline. and another thing, it sounds like he's saying its doing that all the time.. if it was just in the mornings when the car isnt warmed up i dont think he would make a thread about it.. he also said he's done searches on it and stuff. so i dont know mannn
