99 tl v2 ?

can anyone with the 99tl tell me what the little heating core is under the air filter and how to by-pass that to install the v2. also what do i do with the 2 tube/wires that are supposed to be connected to that little mini heating core?
Would appreciate response fast, I tried the search feature by trying to find a DIY but nothing came up.
please don't respond unless you know what I am talking about.

ok there are actually 3 wires/tubes....2 for the cycle of the mini heater coolant and the other to gauge the temp going to the cars original air filter box. I hope someone can help me out.

For the little radiator box in the air box, you just bypass it...connect the hoses together. Basically just make the hoses do the same thing after the install that they did before (except in the stock air box)

you may have to go to a store like Home Depot or something and buy an extra hose or adapter....but they have all sorts of stuff like that

I think I am gonna have to do a little more research on this fitment...I would like to get it on soon, hopefully by next sunday.
If anyone has the actual DIY for this install on the 99, it would of great help because other peeps could use it also.

Trace the hoses back to the engine. Remove one and connect the other one to the spot where you disconnected the first one. No need to connect the two hoses together, just pull one off and connect the other back.

I hope that makes sense.

thanks again for the responses. Now will disconnecting those hoses mess with the computer. While I had the hoses disconnected I had to move my car and I noticed the check engine light going nutty. Did this solely happen because the hoses were disconnected?

Correct me if I'm wrong, there are 3 hoses that become loose once the airbox is taken out. 2 for the circulation of coolant and one to check air temp coming into the airbox. Can someone who has done this veryify that?

So in essence all that I need to do if I am correct with the above sentence is take one coolant hose completely off, take the remaining coolant hose and attach to where I took the first one off. then the hose that comes from the computer to the airbox that check air temp? does this attach to the CAI? anything else that needs to be done? or is this the entire install proccedure?

ok I got the hoses for the coolant figured out, now what I have is one plug with 3 wires that goes to the computer. How do I bypass that so that the engine light doesn't come on?

because I would assume the plug(3 wires) are there to measure air temp.

Soooooo so close, I just want to get this damn thing on.
