just remove the intake resonator box below air filter- hiding inside lower panel of engine cover, see DIY section for help, 1st mod by many ziners!!

It has to come out to do a short ram conversion anyway- so just remove the box and now air gets thru 2 large holes on bottom of the airbox and in a protected area!!
Stock filter still works fine and where it is. Some prefer K&N or similar re-usable filter.
Try that before going for bling, unless you really need shiny~

 

short rams are not really an upgrade....
short rams are just a product to get you to spend your money, as all it does is provide hot air to your engine....which is the opposite of what you want to do.

 

while resonator box removal adds to the stored air capacity for `on-demand use`
by the engine. And doesn't use hot air from inside the engine compartment!

 

I definitely recommend looking into a cold air intake. It will pull cold air from the fender to lower intake temperatures and give you better power gains. We have the aem col air intake available for $257.44.
