I was wondering if the 99 TL can take a manual tranny. I know it's the oddball TL which is why I was wondering. If it's possible, then which car should I look for to get the tranny from?

 

I have heard anecdotally you can use an Acura CL Type-S 6MT as a donor car for your 1999 TL. Keep in mind, the swap isn't for the faint of heart or the light of wallet; said another way, it will probably cost you a lot less to simply sell your 1999 and buy something like a 2004 TL 6MT.
