99 TL instrument cluster?
i drive a 99 TL, no navigation.. i've actually posted this before, but i need more info.. the rattling and knocking in my instrument cluster is driving me INSANE.. it's everywhere, left side blower, gauge plastic windows, all over.. i want to take the thing off, that whole plastic faceplate, and put some kind of foam or lubricant and secure the thing back on.. how do i take it off without ruining everything?.. i know there are two screws behind the steering wheel and two at the gauges.. anything else? the part where the climate control looks like it's set in real tight, is there anything to unscrew in there?.. also, anyone have any advice on what to do about door panel crackling and rattling?

There are only two screws on the entire panel. They are above the steering wheel on the panel itself. the rest of the panel is clipped in and is especially tight above the radio. You may need to remove the steering column upper cover as to not scratch it.
Unplug all the switches , like the ones below the left a/c vent, climate control, trip/select, clock and the panel should come out. Be careful it is a snug fit to weave it out around the steering wheel. good luck. Jeff
