Hi guys,

Some idiot hit and run driver put a shallow dent in the passenger door/hood side of my beautiful black TL. It starts as graze marks from between the passenger door then becomes a dent that goes uptil the end of the door (hinge side) where the metal is about slight bent out due to the pressure it got from the dent, paint is also scraped there then goes on as malformed dent on the hood (the semi-circle rim over the tire). It sounds bad but besides the scraped paint until you look at an angle you dont really notice a whole bunch, so the dent isnt really that deep.

I just got a quote from a independent body shop for $560 to fix this. I'm gonna go to the Acura dealer's collision center for a quote on monday.

Questions:
Is this quote reasonable?
Would it help to get the insurance company involved (ive filed a police report, havent called up insurance yet). I dont really care about insurance rate going up because im leaving the country in dec so wont need it.

Also, any reliable body shops in Atlanta/GA if Acura collision center is too expensive?
