ALMOST!

Well, I've been away, BUT! I have good news

At the beginning of winter break, i got the fact that 'the time for the car to be mine is coming fast' into my father's mind... so what did he do? He went and ordered himself a brand spanking new BMW 535xi! and that means I get the TL... soon.. hopefully

hence the "ALMOST!" at the beginning

tell him what a great car the TL is, and offer to take his 535 off his hands and let him continue driving the awesome TL.

Congratulations. I got my 2000 TL from my mom, she bought it in August of 2000, drove it for 97k miles, and now it's my baby.

AZN.M3NACE: max of 4 months, min of 2 (car gets here in 2 )

co1063: I've been waiting for this car for too long.. and he's been waiting to get a German car for too long too

2000TaffetaTL: That's awesome. My dad got it around... dec of '99 when the '00s were coming in, and he's only driven about 45K!!!!!

Congratulations too both of you, the TL is a nice car but something oddly fun sounding comes out of a I6 TT with 300 hp and 300 ft-lb tq that makes the 535xi sound like even more fun than the TL, again congratulations to you both, I'm sure you will both enjoy them.

edit to that:
max of 4 months after he gets the car
and 2 months is how long it'll get here
so basically, 2-6 months from now..
he'll be driving the TL after he gets the BMW because he doesn't want to take a new car to the parking lot... but i can't use the BMW -_-

My Dad gave me my '99TL 2 years ago at around 55K, now its at 73K & still going great! The only mod's I did to mine was add a spoiler, change the interior lights, & get 20% tints. Good Luck with your TL!

My parents (mainly my father) bought the '99 TL in April of 1999 sort of getting it for my high school graduation. But I didn't get to fully drive it until summer of 2000. Now the car has over 103K miles still in the 1st tranny (knock on wood) and still in an excellent condition.

The only mod that I have is the wood shifter and the tinted windows. Oh, did I mention that the exterior color is heather mist metallic, the color that Acura will never bring it back. How sad!

sounds like my situation... at 16 i had a permit (cant drive w/o an adult til 17 in NJ) and my dad had an 03 tl-p on lease that i learned to drive on. i fell in love with it and when i turned 17 i pleaded with my dad to let me buy the car outright. needless to say he didnt feel i could handle the payments and i ended up with an 00 maxima... but 1 year after that i sold it and bought myself my tl-s which is fully paid off as of this month :-) ... haha so i felt your pain at one point man just be patient it'll be all yours soon enough.
