I saw a 99 on ebay that had been converted to a 03. However, I bet it would be really hard to do.

If you did your home work, you could get all the parts for under 1k. then say another 1k or so to have painted.

It's a good 5 grand to do it, I believe fifftyfive also did it to his car. If all you're worried about is foglights just custom fit some.

All you have to do is buy a foglight kit and cut out your plastic pieces from the grill. Many people have done it and I know there is a DIY for it.

Any Aftermarket fog has the potential to fit. You just have to make it fit. There is NOTHING thats a direct plug and play option if thats what your looking for. Go buy a set of Piaa's and install them.

Yeah if you do the research that's what it comes down to but I think going through the insurance and a shop that's doing everything and getting the parts is what it comes out too.

Maybe im just confused and thinking about Njz and his gs conversion.

it's possible if you get it from a car that is the same color as yours, but if you have a body shop paint the items for you, look into some more $$$

I think your confused. Why go thru insurance? You didnt get in a accident. Price out the parts and buy them your self, install them yourself, Then head to a auto body shop and let them paint it.

And if you look around that can be done for 1-1500$ Still far under 5k OR buying a new car

I called this one place today and this is wat they told me
hood-313.56
headlights-107 each
bumper-153.43
fenders-147.40 total comses out to 976.39$$$$$$ which isnt bad and you were right fsttyms it does come out under 1k and then your looking at about 1k in paint so its about a 2k project which is way less than five grand

Sorry for being confusing, I was saying the people that have done the front end conversions have gone through insurance because they have gotten into wrecks and thats were I got the $5,000 from as said here.

It is more like a piece of mind comparing to converting from 99 to 03 since you know that everthing (almost) came from factory and they should fit nicely.

If you attempt to do the conversion, you might get a headache on things that do not work and lots of incompatibility isses. If you have lots of time and really love in customizing your car, if would be a fun project.

Just my $0.02

carlitin1988:

hey man im quebectl you left 2-3 messages in my guestbook on cardomain

you need more than the parts you listed above to make the conversion. 5 grands is about what it costs to do the conversion here in Canada (canadian dollars) with OEM ACURA parts and labor.

IMO 2500$-3000$US would get you the conversion... the parts are all cheaper in the US... lucky bastards!

haha, yeah i didnt think it would run that much see my original idea was that all you have to do is change headlights and bumper like converting a 94-97 integra into a 98-01 but its so much more time, money, i can just imagine the headaches im going to go through but definately dont have the money rite now but it does look sick the conversion that is plus the 99-01 front end isnt that bad
