96 2.5 air filter
#2
..........damn straight!!!!!!!!!. there are very few aftermarket parts for the 96-98 TL.........i had to have a cold air filter custom made, i had to buy the cone and pipe seperately.....man i suggest you befriend a performance shop mechanic, who knows Acuras and the cars many similarities to the Accord, or you may be in for a lot of disappointments, in the future..."They do not make that for your car or to fit your car" will be an all to familiar statement.......

I don't even think you can find a K&N stock replacement filter element, or can you?? I do know of several shops in the area. Didn't really buy the car to do anything with but wanted to at least put a intake and exhaust on it. I have a Miata that I drive for fun....

there is a air filter for our model cars. so far there is one from WEAPON R for our models....i didn't buy it but i have a cousin who has it on his tl. I know for a fact that K&N dont make filters for our car (drop in filter) because i emailed them last year and they said that there weren't enough demands so they didnt make it...same goes for comptech...not enough demands (at least for the 1st generation)

I've heard from others here that that you can get both a universal intake from HKS powerflow and rear cat-back exhaust from Sebring. I was hoping that a K&N filter from a V6 Accord would fit.
As far as shops in the Chicago area go, there are not many. I've had good luck with TAD Motorsports in Lake Zurich. Had them put some parts on my Miata. They build SCCA Pro Rally cars and are distributors for numerous vendors. Check out their website at tadmotorsports.com There is also The Car Boutique in Wheeling but they are high priced and a bit shady.
