6000k pictures always lie...

I took some pics of my 6000k tonight. I noticed from pic to pic, the color is always different. You have to see them in person to realize how sharp they look at night. Now when I drive on the hwy, there are always 1 -2 drivers checking out my lights

Philips 6000k D2R, they are worth every penny

I think the 2nd last pic does show some blue, but it seems kinda dim. These bulbs are much brighter than that.

yeah no matter how you use photoshop to do color adjustment or brightness / contrast changes, you can't bring out what 6000k really brings to the world

Steven, I think this picture you took of my 6000k D2S came out pretty good:

Binh, that's why I think D2S is bluer than D2R. But the actual light projected on the ground D2R is better than D2S. Because when I lit up my D2R, the road is more stunning than when you lit up the D2S.

That's why you should've gotten yours for the meet so that we could've compared. Oh well, at least we both have 6000k.

Since the D2R is whiter than the D2S the D2R is brighter. Our stock hids are brighter than both of these. In my opinion, if you are getting the 6000K for the cool blue color then I'd go with the D2S.

Question, I hear that you have to trim something in the headlight casing in order for the D2S to fit. If so will I have to close any holes in order to prevent condensation?

If you get the D2S, then you will need to drill a little hole (where the arrow is) on the opposite side by using a dremel tool.

After you drill the hole, it is just plug and play. No need to close any holes to prevent condensation.
