What bulb size to you recommend D2R or D2S??..........your D2S look really phat, would that mean that the D2R won't look as bright??

this is what you need: philips "6000k" for your TL or TL-S but make sure you get D2R bulb. I took a risk of getting D2S bulb. it might show too much glare. so I might have to use these for my wife car Passat.
How much do you want for your OLD bulbs? I just need to get the ballast from a scrapped TL and put these bulbs in my ACcord.

I'm assuming that my 9006 halogen bulb size is similar to the HIDs from the TL?

get

Crzy Acura, I got it from TrueValue store. if you could wait until 6pm tonight, I'll add the pic here. they have many different kind that looks like it will fit. you should wait until I add the pic. so that you don't have to drive back and forth until you get the right one. It is very hard to find. you just have to buy one star screw driver($2.00) not the whole set($25.00)...

Yea I can wait for a pic, thank you. I heard from some people that that screw driver is hard to find, so i wanted to make sure i buy the right one, instead of driving myself crazy looking for it. Thanks.

FYI guys, that bit is called a Torx bit

Popular sizes: T8, T10, T15, T20, T25, ...

These security bits can be found at just about any hardware store.. Turns out, I have this one too

Do the bulbs require the security version of the bit?? The hole on top of the bit indicates that this is a security bit.. but the bits also come w/o the hole..

but anyway, 6K bulbs are focking sweet!! Wish I had $300 for them.. Waiting for RES

Sure you can, as long as you get a HID conversion kit for your fogs. Someone already did this to there TL-S but I forgot who.

Helm manual says it is a Torx T20 bit. so I guess the security hole is not necessary. Those Torx bits come in most tool sets or screwdriver sets with interchangable bits.

I think he meant converting his stock fogs on his TL-S into HIDs. Boba bought HID fogs for his 99-01 TL.

wouldn't the only difference b/w what he'd want to do and what bobatimez did is the housing for the bulb?

well, in any case: TypeS_Monster put 6000K HID's in place of the stock fogs on his TL-S. He posted a thread about it: http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...threadid=29954

I hope you don't mind, Monster.
